Leadership with Matt Tresidder (and why I joined his company full-time)
Hello again, everybody!
I’m excited to continue my commitment to having some awesome conversations, and this week’s interview definitely delivers. I’m even more excited because I finally get to answer a question that a lot of you have been wondering: “Where did Holly go?”
This week’s interview is with Matt Tresidder, the CEO & Co-founder of Leadr, a people development software company. In the interview, Matt talks about how “culture determines everything,” the biggest thing he learned from our $10M Series A fundraise, and scaling our company from zero to over three hundred customers in one year. It’s a fascinating discussion that will help anyone leading teams or building an organization.
Matt and what he’s doing at Leadr is also a great segue for me to talk about what I’ve been up to. That’s because Matt isn’t just a fascinating expert on leadership, he also happens to be my boss! Yup, that’s right.
So if you’ve been wondering what I’ve been up to, I open with with the story of how I left Vanderbloemen to start my own company The Ready Network, but then ended up joining the Leadr team full-time in March as the SVP of Growth to bring people development software to as many organizations as possible…because people want to be led and developed, not managed.
Yeah, I didn’t see it coming either, but I’m grateful for the curveball.
